The Email
July 15, 2024 Hi Nathan Bell, Hi Nathan Bell, Donald Trump was shot. I don’t care what your political views are but the hate for Trump and his supporters has gone too far. People are terrified to admit they support Trump. I’ve been scared myself. Americans shouldn’t live in fear. I support Trump. Many at Sticker Mule do. Many at Sticker Mule also support Biden. The political hate needs to stop. Hopefully this email helps. Btw, this week, get 1 shirt for $4 (normally $19). I suggest buying one that shows you support Trump. The more people realize that millions of kind-hearted, compassionate people support Trump, the sooner the hate will end. Awesome people, all over the world, love Trump. Don’t limit your friendships and diminish your happiness by indulging in political hate. Vocalize your support. Stop the hate. Anthony Constantino Cofounder, Sticker Mule
My Answer
Re: Your “I’m a Trump Supporter” Email,
I stopped using your company when you partnered with the abuser Mike Tyson.
I like the products I got from you, they were high quality and always accurate. Pity.
But, yeah, it's gone too far. Nobody should be shooting at anybody. But this is ironic, don't you think?
You support the candidate of the party that makes it possible for every idiot, every incompetent, many children, and virtually all criminals, to easily acquire weapons of war.
You support the party that rules as a minority through utterly shameless voter disenfranchisement and chicanery and refuses to acknowledge the will of the people, up to the point that innocent people trying to run our elections live in fear.
You support a party that would see our children made outcasts for who they love. And me an outcast for not buying into a Christian nation.
What possible position that the GOP has could you support if you wish for a better society? Lower taxes? We pay taxes so we HAVE a society. But just getting deregulation and less of a tax burden is not much to get as the planet burns, working people can’t afford health care, and people starve.
Your email is embarrassing and fundamentally whiny. It says two things, very clearly: You don't want anybody to notice that your beliefs are based on worship of one man. And when they do, you want them to think of you as wonderful and other people who worship this one man as wonderful. I’m pretty sure you want to sell some extra stuff, too. But since you’re a business, I’ll give you that.
I wouldn’t have sent that email. And you, if you didn’t think there would be a negative reaction equal to the positive, you really weren’t thinking. This whole thing reminds me of an office “reply all” gone very poorly.
FYI, I have a lot of friends from all belief systems and both parties. I don't have Trump Worshippers as friends. There is a reason for that: When I try to do exactly what they insist on doing: discussing their reasons for supporting a man who, on the surface, couldn’t seem less like a good presidential candidate, the only reasons they can give me are either nonsensical or based on poor information. Those answers are also usually given in a belligerent way, with the same “don’t question me, I just KNOW it” attitude that defensive Christian fundamentalists answer questions of faith.
It’s no secret that the violent rhetoric from he MAGA faction is constant, disturbing, and vile.
So, yes, you should feel ashamed of worshipping Donald Trump.
But, moving on. I suspect that one day, after this GOP era fades away, you may wonder, “what the heck was I thinking?,” And then you’ll be a low tax, low regulations guy who doesn’t follow a man who wants to be King.
And those of us who don’t follow kings will be happy to have a beer with you and debate policy.
I understand you don’t like anybody disagreeing with your opinion. I’d take to X to debate you, but I won’t touch anything Elon Musk related with a three-thousand-foot pole.
I am open to discussion. But only man to man. Not out on the idiot social media platforms. That said, you can quote me out there if you’d like. I’ve never been afraid to stand for what I stand for.
Cheers,
Nathan
Well said.
