This wrecked me a half dozen times.

We're lucky to have the chance to endure days like these. ❤️

So sorry, my friend. Animals can teach us so much about selfless love. How can it not be hard to let them go?

I feel your pain Nathan. To lose one close friend animal or human is a life changing event. To lose three in close succession feels unbearably cruel but as you say that cruelty is largely ourselves trying to deal with the loss. In the past 10 months we have bade farewell to a close childhood lifelong friend to dementia, a nephew age 45 to cancer, a valued cousin to cancer & my brother to cancer. All of them feel too early and are greatly missed. Their passing however has reminded me (as though that was necessary) of the brevity & unknowns in life & has motivated me even more to live the best years I can for whatever time I have left. Thanks for your writing skill & observations. I hope to see you perform again in Glasgow very soon.

Lucky always. John B.
